[May 2004]
[May 22nd, 2004. 4:30am]: Oops/Sorry!
I seemed to have misplaced the memory stick in my brain that retains the information for hosting this site. My DNS host had expired and I thought I had another year... so when I stopped receiving emails and then days later noticed that my site was replaced by a 'parked' URL.. I panicked... whipped out the credit card and got things taken care of. Sorry for the few days the site was down. I apologize for that, but we should be good for another 2 years as of a few days ago. Look for an "Articles" section soon (uhm whatever that means) as that is my most likely next addition to helparena.com v4.0.
[March 2004]
[March 11th, 2004. 4:30pm]: Anniversary
Today is the 'official' one year anniversary of what I'm now referring to as "helparena.com version 4.0", or "HAv4.0", or "helparena v4.0", or whatever. You get the idea! This, incarnation, as I often refer to it as, is now one year old. I hope to bring many more years along with it... and with the years, I hope to expand helparena.com as a gaming site. The ideas are there, it's just getting the knowledge of how to do it. So, hopefully in a few years, a version 5.0 will emerge! But I've added a version history at the bottom of the past news page to make things a little less confusing. You can find that here.
[September 2003]
[September 27th, 2003. 5:30pm]: Coming Soon
Again, thanks to all who have sent emails in with positive words! I can't stress that enough! But be on the look out for updates (nothing big). I've got a few links I need to adjust/add/remove... I also have been thinking of starting a site to my new favorite game; TRON 2.0.
Outside of that, for any of you that can't find the Demo Show Creator program via my link or through google, I uploaded my version (DSC Light 1.30) and you can find that .exe file on helparena.com here: «DSC Light v1.30»
Stay tuned!
[August 2003]
[August 6th, 2003. 11:15pm]: Many thanks
I just wanted to say thanks to all the wonderful and positive emails I've gotten from quakers and trickers around the globe! It is people like you that made all the work, time, and effort worth it. After all, without questions there can be no answers. And without supportive and interested people, there can be no websites. So again, thanks to everyone who has sent me emails with questions and kind words. I hope that the site and myself have been able to help you in some way. Even though I'm very busy at the moment, I do try to check my email daily (usually twice a day) and do my best to answer them promptly. If you do not receive a reply of some sort, then chances are the email was lost in the digital stream of technology and wonder... but even if I can't answer the email, I do try to send a reply letting you know that I received it, and either replying the info you requested soon after, or I'm doing the research to find the answer. So keep those emails coming!!!!

[March 11th, 2003. 3:00pm]: Sigh of relief
As of approximately 3pm CST, the site has been released to the public's eye. I hope you enjoy what you see and feel free to email any comments, feedback, and bugs to me at RichmanRush@helparena.com.
[March 11th, 2003. 12:20am]: Beta testing complete
So all the content is done, and I've beta tested the pages and fixed any errors I've found. Once released, I'll probably sit back for a while and enjoy the fact that I finally got the site 100% complete. But I eventually want to go through it all and re-word or re-type most of the content because a majority of the site (Help Arena, Smooth Harmonies, and RichmanRush) was done between the hours of 1am and 6am. And at those hours, when you're groggy and tired and ready for bed, sometimes what you're thinking, or even saying, doesn't quite make it out to the fingers... and as you can see, some of the humor is rather dry and the topics lengthy. But that's to worry about another day. When will the site be released? Still debating that in my head... but very soon.. I will release it before the deadline of March 31st, that's for sure.
[March 10th, 2003. 5:17pm]: The new site
So here you are, at the new and improved HELP ARENA.
I bet you're wondering what's in store in the following pages? Am I right? Am I right??
Well, right here, right in this very space that you are reading, will be the updated news and information
pertaining to my Quake3Arena help site.
Now I bet you're asking yourself: What will this new and improved site be about? Will it be the same old BS
that you didn't finish last time?
The answer is: No.
I've decided to do a complete 180. Instead of being a beginner site helping new folks to the ways of quake3,
it's going to be a q3 site pertaining to the basics of quake3 tricking. Now there are tons of sites out there
doing exactly the same, and well quite frankly, I don't care, cause I was one of the first :P
... no really, I'm doing what I set out to do roughly 2-3 years ago, and that would be to make a site
pertaining to the id software hit game: Quake 3 Arena.
This was also a test of my knowledge of html, which hasn't changed quite that much since the beginning...
basic graphics, basic layout, basic code.
Well there you have it! Help Arena is back ladies and gentlemen! Please enjoy, and send any feedback
(positive only) here.
